At the age of 6years old, she took home a contest by using an outdated board found in the trash near her home. Young surfer started her journey into surfing at the age of five years old and had won her first surf contest by age 6. At age 7 she got a sponsor. Ashley won an award at the Pipeline Women's Pro 2010 in Hawaii. Ashley places 59th on the Women's Qualification Series for 2014.
