Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was the role of Essie Carmichael in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In the musical, Hair. Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed directors and actors across stage film and television and she will continue that project with various upcoming ones. Ashford's next project will be a limited edition Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show debuts on November 22 and Ashford stars opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC in the form of an Hulu Original. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will return to Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the musical. Ashford's last role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the national scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Her two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive was her first significant role. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in her character as Essie.
