Annie Mist Thorisdottir has been an elite CrossFit athlete from Reykjavik Iceland. She's the co-owner of Crossfit Reykjavik where she also instructs and trains. Annie became the very first female to ever win CrossFit Games on two occasions. In 2010, she finished the second position. Annie Thorisdottir is an Icelandic weightlifter who also is a CrossFit athlete as well as a popular media personality. Her fame stems from her being the first woman to win at the CrossFit Games twice in 2011 and 2012. Her other accomplishments include winning the Dubai Fitness Competition in 2013 and 2017. Annie was born and brought to Reykjavik Iceland along with her parents and other siblings. Being an avid sportsman and exercising enthusiast from a young age she participated in various school sports and received numerous medals. The first time she participated was time in 2009, in the CrossFit Games held in California and did excellently. Annie Thorisdottir's age was 31 (as as of 2021). Her height stands at 5'7" and her weight is around 77.5kg. Annie took up CrossFit in California in 2009. Her performance was good in her initial competitions, placing at the top of the list. But she did not claim any trophy and she finished the competition in 11th place. In 2010 Annie finished 1st in European Regionals Qualifier. Under the coaching of Jami Tikkanen, Annie placed second in CrossFit Games and was awarded the same silver medal year. Following that, she again participated in the CrossFit Games and due to her impressive performance, she took home the contest and became the first female winner of CrossFit Games. In 2012, Annie also won her first CrossFit Games because of her outstanding performance. In addition, she became the first female athlete who had two wins at CrossFit Games consecutively. Additionally, in 2014, she won a silver medal as well as in 2021, she was awarded a bronze medal in CrossFit Games. Presently Annie runs and coaches for Crossfit Reykjavik which was started by her. Annie is an athlete in the making, was featured in adverts of sports-related products like Reebok Rogue Fitness Transparent Labs Nuun Hydration, Yerbae Renaissance sidekick Periodization Transparent Labs Transparent Labs among others. About a thousand users subscribe to her self-titled Youtube channel where she posts training videos, family videos as well as travel videos.
